Town of Okotoks Social Wellness Framework Presented to Town Council
Marleen presented the final report regarding the Social Wellness Framework to Okotoks Town Council. The report included 14 recommendations and a set of indicators that will report on the state of social wellness in the Town of Okotoks over time. Also included in the report were the results of an online community survey, focus groups with residents and an inventory of programs and services that have an impact on social wellness. Together, these elements establish a planning and decision-making tool kit that can be used by Town Council, Administration and community agencies to take action on social wellness.
In presenting the report, Marleen acknowledged and thanked the Social Wellness Framework Steering Committee, including staff members Susan Laurin, Sherri Mullen and Linda Blasetti for their insights, guidance and assistance with the project. She also thanked the members of the community who participated in the process and the community businesses and organizations that supported the project.
